Kids 1K will receive finisher medalsDescription:Proceeds will be used by the Blanco County Precinct One Constable’s Office to kick off the Shop with Badges of Blanco County program, an event that unites First Responders and children in need during the holidays. On the day of the program event, law enforcement officer volunteers from various local and state agencies meet the children to enjoy a meal as group. Following that, the children will participate in a law enforcement procession as they head to a store, where law enforcement officers and children will pair up to shop. Each child will have the opportunity to shop for their family members, as well as themselves. Shop with a Cop is a multifaceted opportunity to better the community. It helps to provide a happier Christmas season for families in need, while at the same time, creating positive interactions between children and law enforcement.
